IHSA Organizational Band Competition
IHSA Organizational Band Competition
I want to thank everyone for your support of the band activities and your flexibility with band student schedules this year. I also want to thank everyone who helped us with our band raffle fundraiser. Between your support, flexibility and our students' hard work we had a very successful year. We demonstrated our success this past Saturday at Tinley park HS at the IHSA Organizational Competition.

The Bloom Township Concert Band received a Division II (excellent) rating. The students played exceptionally well and we are looking forward to returning next year and doing even better. Please take a moment and congratulate our band students on their hard work.

Again, I thank you all for all that you do to support us.
Best,
Michael Bielecki

Last night, 39 students were inducted into Bloom's chapter of National Honor Society. Our current members did a great job running the ceremony, and our new inductees seemed to greatly enjoy the recognition for their hard work. For your reference, I have listed both groups of students below. On behalf of myself and the NHS members, I wanted to thank all of you for your flexibility, understanding, input, and patience throughout this very involved process. I also wanted to thank all members of the Bloom Family who helped to plan, set up, attend, and volunteer at Inductions. If I have left anyone off of this list, please forgive me. Looking forward, the Jeff Woodham and Abrahan Cruz Memorial NHS 5K will be held at 8:00 on April 22nd. I hope you can all make it in one capacity or another.

Parent University Second Annual Event a Great Success
Parent University Second Annual Event a Great Success
On behalf of Parent University Planning Committee,

We want to thank you for making our 2nd annual Parent University a success. The day ran smoothly, parents seemed to really enjoy themselves based on responses from, speakers, vendors, community partners, and parents. Parent University is a District event, it allows parents a valuable opportunity to engage and connect with other parents, community partners and staff while having access to numerous resources from the local community free of charge. We offered free classes for parents, that were aimed at meeting the needs of our families at District 206. This couldn't have been possible without the assistance of countless people who helped prepare ahead of time, work during the event itself and clean up afterwards.

Overall the day was a success, it was a community effort for sure from beginning to end.

Many of thanks to the following people & clubs:

Valerie Acosta
Marilyn Bittner
Sheva Franklin
Patty Martinez
Brenda Macon
Nathan Schmidt
Katherine Steward
Tony Townes
Sherman White

SchoolBlocks offers a unique and powerful personalized search system. A member of the public, searching for "homework" might see an announcement from the school as the first result. However, if the user is logged in, they would see their teacher’s latest homework assignment as the top result.
