Dear Parents, My name is Kevin Huizenga and this is my third year teaching at Bloom High School. I am very excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to working with your child. I am very excited to be involved with the freshmen academy again this year. I graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry education. I have a real love for the life sciences. I am curently working on my masters degree through the University of Hawaii. Check out my pictures from Costa Rica, the Galapagos Islands, and Hawaii along with my research interests. Attached you will find my classroom procedures and syllabus. Please take a moment to read these over. Your child is expected to comply with my rules as well as all school policies defined in the student handbook. Each student has been provided a handbook. Please read this handbook and explain the importance of complying with our policies and rules. The goal is to create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
