Bloom Township High School - Main Campus
101 W. 10th Street, Chicago Heights, IL.
10th Street and Dixie Hwy (1/2 mile North of US-30 (Lincoln Hwy) on IL. Rte. 1)
Park in the West lot off of Dixie Hwy by Tennis Courts.
Enter doors on the far East side of the parking lot.
Competition will be in the student cafeteria. 
Skittles area will be in the fieldhouse.
 
Round 1 begins propmtly @ 9AM!

$7.00 per player / $140. Max per School registered
Fees payable by: Cash or Check (payable to: Bloom High School)

Entry Deadline is Wednesday, October 21st, 2009.

**There is no penalty for deleting names at the tournament, but there is a $5.00 per player “late” fee for additions or changes made at registration.
Terms and Conditions
  • Action Chess: Game 30, 5 sec. delay
  • Parings are individual.
  • Scores of the top five players from each school are added together to determine team standings.
  • Points awarded: (Win = 1 pts., Draw = 1/2 pts., Loss = 0 Pts.)
  • Please at least 1 board, pieces, and clocks for every two players.
  • Notation sheets will be provided.
Standard Tournament Concessions will be available from 10 AM to 3:30 PM.
Awards Format
  • Top 3 Teams will receive Plaques!
  • Top overall individual in tournament will receive a trophy!
  • 1st place trophies will be awarded in the following categories:
    • Senior (12) 
    • Junior (11)
    • Sophomore (10)
    • Freshman (09)
    • Fresh/Soph Female
    • Jr/Sr. Female
    • Rating group under 800
    • Rating group 800--999
    • Rating group 1000—1199
    • Rating group 1200—1399
    • Rating group 1400—1599
    • Rating group 1600—1799
    • Rating group above 1800
    • Unrated group
    • NEW!!!  Upset Award (as determined by the tournament director)
    • Undefeated Player Award
  • Only 1 Trophy will be awarded per person for the tournament.
