Hello,
I am a Social Science teacher. While I was in college I found this quote: "The important thing is not so much that every child be taught, as that every child should be given the wish to learn." I agreed with this teaching philosophy and felt that this statement would become my philosophy of teaching. After my first year of teaching I discovered another philosophy, “That students don't care how much you know-Until they know how much you care.” I combined these two philosophies to develop my philosophy of teaching. I have used these philosophies to develop strong relationships with my students and to help them develop into all that they can be.
